IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OREGON STATE PARKS

Guided Fishing Boat Tours

Good things come to those who bait! That’s never been truer than at our world class fishery.

Overview

Our most famous fishery is known as ‘Buoy 10’, a salmon fishery in the lower Columbia River estuary starting at Buoy 10. In its heyday, Astoria was the fish canning capital of the world. It easily remains one of the hottest spots for catching salmon. The Buoy 10 season normally starts August 1 and peaks late August into September. Hundreds of thousands of salmon pass thru the estuary, fattening up for their migration upriver. If you are ready to do battle with stubborn fighters ranging from 20 - 40 lbs. AND looking for easy limits, this is the fishery for you!
We offer guided fishing trips almost year round. January thru March is Winter Steelhead. The first run of Spring Chinook starts in March. ‘Springers’ are prized for their exceptional rich taste due to their high fat content. Springers continue into May and June. Tucked in between Springers and Fall Chinooks is a short run of Summer Chinooks. Along with Fall Chinooks, or King Salmon, it is also a popular time for Coho, or Silvers. Fall Chinooks stick around into October, November and December on the coastal bays and rivers.
Experience a wild and unique 'catch and release’ Sturgeon fishery in June/July. With incredible aerial performances, these spiny creatures reaching up to 8 feet long, do not disappoint.
Don't forget Dungeness crab! Made insanely popular by the Deadliest Catch TV show filmed in Alaska, we have our own bustling crab industry on the Oregon coast. Oregon Dungeness may just be the world’s tastiest. Crabbing trips are offered throughout the year.
No matter which one you choose, be careful, you may be the one who gets hooked!

dETAILS

Our fishing trips are fun for the whole family! Most salmon trips are full day fishing trips. But we are never far from a toilet facility. Sturgeon and crabbing trips are shorter.
Safety comes first! The Columbia River Bar is notorious for its potentially dangerous conditions. Our guides are among the most experienced, licensed professionals on the river. From the right bait to state of the art gear to local expertise, leave it up to our top producing guides to keep you safe and find fish.
