Self Guided Fat Tire Biking

Be a Kid Again! Imagine ‘floating' over flat, packed sand with a salty breeze on your back for miles along unspoiled beaches.

The Oregon Coast is known for its rugged and insanely beautiful coastline. The best part is that it’s all accessible for public use, which is why its known as 'The People’s Coast'. At low tide, ride up to one of the most iconic sites on the Oregon Coast, Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. Check out the tide pools and grab photos there! Perhaps explore the remnants of an old shipwreck that is still visible today and find out how the Peter Iredale met its demise. Bike to South Jetty, at the Mouth of the Columbia River and learn how the jetties were formed and their purpose in maintaining a shipping channel across the world’s most dangerous bar crossing. Or cruise along the shore in tony Gearhart, where among the mansions, you may spot one of the resident elk herds that frequent the dunes. Pick up sand dollars and see how many whole ones you can pocket. Bird watchers, you’re in for a real treat as the Oregon Coast is home to a variety of nesting and migratory shore and sea birds. Now spice it up! Venture up the dunes to roll back down. Fat bikes are the monster trucks of bikes. They go places other bikes cannot!

With wide tires and lower tire pressure, there is a larger contact area with the ground providing greater traction on uneven terrain. Young or old, people find fat tire biking to be a soft, forgiving ride and heaps of fun!
We provide delivery and pickup of the bikes and everything you need to make the most of your self guided tour, including a helmet, a map, a birder’s ID cheat sheet and info about the local sights.

*Requires 2 people minimum to book. All fat bikes are adult size bikes. Must be age 10 or up. Minimum height requirement is 5’2.
